Across Landscapes

Ana Waltschew is a photojournalist & documentary photographer based in South Texas. She pursues her art-form out of her conviction that: the visual display of truth has a significant impact within the role of community change. Most of her work is taken within humanitarian aid environments and is centered around the themes of humanity, beauty, and brokenness. She is of the philosophy that goodness, truth, & human-to-human connection are part of the antidote to poverty, hate, and distrust in this world. She hopes that her work acts as a bridge between her subject and viewers; and desires to achieve mutual understanding between people of differing social, economic, and cultural backgrounds. Above all, she is guided by the principles that everyone is deserving of dignity, and beauty can always be found even where you least expect it. Here is some of her work.
